Creators Ross and Matt Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter that the creepy alternate dimension known as the Upside Down is heavily featured in the upcoming episodes. “The Upside Down plays a major role in the upcoming season,” they said. “The gate to the Upside Down in the last season was not closed, it is still there.” As for Will (Noah Schnapp), who spent most of last season stuck in that creepy world, he is definitely changed by the experience. “You can see in the second season how the Upside Down affected Will. He is definitely holding back on what happens to him and keeps everything in,” Schnapp said.
