Straight From Nashville's Costume Designer, Susie DeSanto, All The Fashion Details From Season 2, Episode 4

Last night’s episode of Nashville was full of high stakes drama for our favorite country stars—and they had wardrobes to match! InStyle hopped on the phone with costume designer Susie DeSanto for an exclusive catch up on our favorite looks. Right off the bat this week Scarlett (Clare Bowen) tried something new for her first photo shoot, even adding pink extensions to her golden locks. “That’s an idea that Clare has been flirting with for awhile, just to be kind of outrageous, something she would never do. You will see as the season goes on Clare and I have been playing around with some of those 90s/80s things that are creeping back into fashion,” DeSanto told InStyle. But, no one could ignore Rayna (Connie Britton) in her Monique Lhuillier gown, “one thing I loved about the print of that dress, it looks like a tumultuous ocean, and her life is a tumultuous ocean so it worked as a metaphor for what she was going through in the episode.” Click through the gallery to see more looks from the episode and make sure to tune in to Nashville on Wednesdays 10/9c on ABC.
