We found the perfect dessert! It's sweet. It's delicious. It's a vegan's dream come true. Stella’s Best is a Los Angeles–based non-dairy, vegan ice "cream" company. Started by Catherine Weiss, a massage therapist with a sweet tooth and a healthy lifestyle, the sweet treat was born while she was looking for an alternative to available vegan ice cream options. While playing around with ingredients in her kitchen, Weiss started off by making an ice cream base from coconut milk and cashews. Weiss still makes all of the chunks and mix-ins from scratch, with the exception of the vegan marshmallows (yummy!) and everything created by Stella's Best is dairy free, gluten free, and soy free.

"I like to create totally decadent, not your typical vegan ice cream. I try to steer away from traditional flavors, although I make those too," Weiss tells "My latest is a chocolate chip cake batter. It started out as just a cake batter flavor but then I thought, 'I should add chocolate chip!'" Add that to the 30-plus decadent flavors that Stella's Best already offers and we could easily eat our way through the rest of summer!
