Starbucks Is Upping Its Cold Brew Game for Summer
If you're a cold brew fan, getting your daily dose of java just got even more delicious. Just in time for the steamy summer months ahead, Starbucks released two new variations of the popular iced coffee drink today, and you're going to want to get your hands on the updated beverages immediately.
Cold brew purists are sure to gravitate towards the Nitro Cold Brew, a delicious and adventurous take on the beloved beverage. "We start with a small, chilled keg of Starbucks Cold Brew coffee,” Anthony Carroll, a partner on Starbucks Coffee team, explained in a statement. "Then it’s infused with nitrogen, which unlocks the super-smooth, natural sweetness of the Cold Brew coffee, which then cascades from the tap with a velvety texture you can see and taste." The Nitro Cold Brew isn't available nationwide yet, but it will be rolling out to over 500 stores in Seattle, New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
For those who typical add milk and sugar to their coffee, the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is the way to go. “We wanted to create a coffee-forward iced beverage with a splash of sweet cream,” said Christal Canzler from Starbucks beverage development team. The beverage is made with Starbucks Cold Brew over ice and topped with a house-made vanilla sweet cream. Yum! Unlike the Nitro variation, the Sweet Cream will be available in stores nationwide and in Canada.
