Go Behind the Scenes with Sofia Carson as She Unveils Saks Fifth Avenue's Holiday Windows
Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store transformed into a Snow White-themed winter wonderland on Monday as they unveiled their holiday windows for 2017, and Descendants star Sofia Carson kicked off the festivities with a live performance.
Carson gave InStyle an inside look at the magical night, from getting ready with dress designer Monique Lhuillier to prepping backstage before her big performance. The singer took the stage at the unveiling event in a Snow White-inspired Monique Lhuillier gown alongside a 40-person choir with appearances by the Disney princess herself (and her seven dwarfs).

Celebrities like Naomi Watts, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Burtka were in the audience, as were their stylish twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott.
Saks transformed all 14 of its front-facing windows into scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, with each window depicting a different moment from the film.

Good morning from N.Y.C!
Just finished rehearsals for my performance tonight on Fifth Avenue, unveiling the Saks windows honoring Snow White's 80th anniversary.

First look of the day
For press, I fell in love with this Gucci dress, classic, chic but with an edge, and we paired it with velvet burgundy booties. (I kind of have a thing for booties ...)

Look No. 2: The Gown
We went for a modern-day fairytale look for my performance tonight at Saks, so of course I wore one of my favorite designers, Monique Lhuillier. The beautiful velvet bodice and golden sequenced skirt felt like melted gold! I die for the cape ... and the opera length velvet gloves, which give the look a touch of old Hollywood glam. Feels like a modern-day Snow White gown.

The Jewelry
I wore my mom's vintage earrings, which I love so much. It's like having a piece of her with me wherever I go.

The Glam
I wanted to go for a total Old Hollywood glam look, from my favorite MAC red lipstick, Ruby Woo, to the glamorous updo.

Some of my makeup musts
Chanel 30 Foundation, L'Oréal Infallible True Match Powder, MAC Ruby Woo lipstick, and for my brows, Diorshow Universal Brow.

Love you, Monique. It feels like a fairytale every time I wear your gowns.
