Simone Biles Takes Home All-Around Olympic Gold: See the Stars' Joyful Reactions

She did it! Unless you've been living under a rock (in which case, no judgments ) you've probably heard that U.S. gymnast Simone Biles nabbed a gold medal for her all-around performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics Thursday night. At just 19 years old, Biles is now one of the most decorated gymnasts in U.S. history. Not to mention that, according to ESPN, her final score of 62.198 is the largest winning margin in an Olympic all-around competition since 2006. And if that weren't exciting enough already, Biles's teammate Aly Raisman also delivered a knockout performance and went home with a silver medal.

Not surprisingly, the United States erupted almost immediately with joy. Men and women of all ages took to their Twitter and Instagram accounts to celebrate and offer words of congratulations to the athletes—with celebrities like Lady Gaga, Kerry Washington and Elizabeth Banks among them.
