Shannen Doherty may almost be at the finish line with chemotherapy after starting the treatment in July to fight her breast cancer, but the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is taking it back to the beginning with an Instagram photo shared with her fans on Wednesday.

"#themanyfacesofcancer," the actress began her post on the social media platform, which depicts the actress, who is dressed in ripped jeans and an elbow-length top, recovering in a hyperbaric chamber in the black-and-white shot.

She explained, "This is from the beginning of my cancer story. My reconstructive surgeon, Dr Jay Orringer, wanted to have the best outcome possible. That meant a hyperbaric chamber along with many other outside of the box methods."

She then praised her doctor, saying, "The result... He saved my skin... Literally. We have many procedures in the future but as long as he's my doctor, I feel safe. I could not be more blessed than with him."

The Charmed star concluded, "The future of cancer treatment should include things like this and covered by insurance so we all can choose methods like this if we want." She finished her post with the hashtags #fightlikeagirl and #su2c, which symbolizes "stand up to cancer."

The 45-year-old has been busy standing up to cancer in more ways than one, walking the red carpet at the fifth annual Stand Up to Cancer telethon on Friday in Los Angeles, where she revealed that she is starting to feel more like herself.
