Selena Gomez FaceTimes with Fan in Concert, Becomes National Hero
Hey, we get it: Concert tickets are expensive, especially if you want to be in the first few rows on Selena Gomez’s Revival Tour. So a few fans in the front at Gomez’s concert in D.C. this weekend did their friends at home a favor and made a video call from their phone so they, too, could see the star up close and personal.
Little did they know, the fans at home got the surprise of their life when the pop star decided to grab the phone and FaceTime from the stage. “Hey, you’re on FaceTime. Hi!” she said, waving to the phone before reaching down to grab it from their hand. She turned her back to the audience, giving the lucky fans on-screen a look at the thousands of screaming Selenators in the stands. “Did you guys not buy a ticket, or…” she joked, handing the phone back to its owner.

This isn’t the only good deed she has done since embarking on her worldwide tour. Last month, she used a rare day off to visit a Boston Children’s hospital. And during a tour stop in Brooklyn, she visited a local playground, splashing with kids through a fountain and enjoying snow cones in the process.
Not all heroes wear capes.
