As the temperatures drop, holiday shopping is in full swing—and retailers have much more to offer than just the perfect presents. What gets us really excited about hitting up N.Y.C.’s biggest stores is getting the chance to see their beautifully decorated holiday displays. Saks Fifth Avenue decked out its storefront with a theme of “The Winter Palace,” complete with a light and pyrotechnics show, and windows inspired by different locales around the globe (above). Meanwhile, Bergdorf Goodman’s “Brilliant” theme is all about the glitz factor, featuring an abundance of Swarovski crystals and pearls throughout each majestic window. And Barneys New York took things a step further, enlisting live ice carvers to create ice sculptures during scheduled performances within one of its storefront windows. But the dazzling displays don’t stop there. Plenty of other retailers are lighting up the city streets this month—and we can’t get enough of New York City’s most festive masterpieces.
