Ariana Grande must have known what the future held when she wrote "Problem" because that's exactly what the denizens of the fictional Wallace University were faced with on Tuesday night's Scream Queens. In the new episode, titled "Chainsaw," things kick off to a hilariously terrifying start when Grace (Skyler Samuels) and Zayday (Keke Palmer) accidentally attack a fellow political science classmate dressed in the red devil costume with a taser inside a convenient store.

As campus riots spur and students become increasingly apprehensive of their safety, Kappa Kappa Tau pledges realize that Chanel #2 (Grande) has officially gone missing, despite the fact that photos are still being regularly uploaded to her Instagram account. Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) reminds the campus community that they can rest assured no new tragedies will occur, while also pronouncing that Boone's (Nick Jonas) death was a suicide. She also comically denounces the red devil as the school mascot and introduces Cody, a vanilla swirl ice cream cone that later falls victim to the now chainsaw-toting murderer.

Grace and Zayday learn that Chanel #2 was also dating Chad (Glen Powell) and Grace's father, Wes (Oliver Hudson), later makes an embarrassing classroom arrival as her professor. Meanwhile, Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) decides to give super nerd Hester (Lea Michele) a glamorous makeover in an effort to regain Chad's love. Next, Munsch and Gigi—both overtly obsessed with Wes—move into the sorority house to help protect the young women, a move that annoys the sisters.

Still mourning Boone, Chad and his fraternity brothers embark on A Clockwork Orange-like hunt of the red devil costume killer. Several of them end up bruised and limbless and we quickly learn that more there's more than one latex-clad culprit. Other in-the-know characters like Zayday also become lead suspects and Gigi almost dies after Munsch falls asleep in a shady, too suspicious manner. Wes miraculously saves the day and with Gigi's help, the professor, who earlier expressed love for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is quick to frame Munsch as the killer. So is she the reason for so much tragedy? We'll have to wait until next week!
