Sarah Michelle Gellar Is Part of the Quarancolor Gang, Too
She's the latest celeb to DIY her dye.
Welcome to the club, Sarah Michelle Gellar. She's the latest celebrity to take her hair color into her own hands and opt for a Technicolor hue. In a pair of Instagram posts, Gellar showed off a brand-new pink dye job on her shoulder-grazing lob.
The color's not an in-your-face punch of color, though knowing that people are taking powdered Kool-Aid to their hair may mean that it's only a matter of time for Gellar. Her color's softer, with sections of soft rosy pink and other more vibrant sections. In her first Instagram post, she explained that part of why she did it was to spice things up for her kids.
"Well, becuase we're still in quarantine, I had to think of a new and creative way to embarrass my children," she said in the new color's video debut.
But in her second post, she threw in a Mean Girls quote, becuase, in this case, it was completely appropriate for the occasion.
"On Wednesdays we wear pink (or technically right now every day) #quarancolor," she wrote in a follow-up snapshot, which gave fans a closer look at the pink color.
Gellar joins an illustrious list of celebrities that opted to go pink during the quarantine, including her I Know What You Did Last Summer co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt, who added hot pink streaks to her chocolate-brown strands, and model Lottie Moss, who went even brighter with her choice, a bold coral.
