She may have played Carrie, but Sarah Jessica Parker's new fragrance is definitely giving off some Samantha vibes. Today, the star announced the launch of her latest scent, Stash, and between the apothecary-inspired flacon and the heady notes, it's unlike anything in her existing collection. "It was something that felt so original and so singular and unique and subversive, it felt almost as if we were working on some sort of a secret government project," the star says in an interview, laughing. "We passed it around to each other as if this was some sort of verboten, illegal parcel, so I thought of the name Stash, because it felt so special, so valuble, and so important, and all of this is silly when you're talking about fragrance, but that's how it felt." As the fragrance was passed around, it became each person's own stash, and as of today, the secret is officially out. Parker worked with IFF perfumers Clement Gavarry and Laurent Le Guernec to craft a beyond-sexy scent, including notes of sage, black pepper, cedarwood, and a twist of grapefruit zest. "There's all this warmth and all these big-bodied, really bold, super sexy smells, but it has this weird layer of coolness that I've never experienced in something that's really warm," she adds.
