When a girl is tasked with impressing a crowd of Hollywood insiders, she picks up her go-to pair of fringe-detailed Jimmy Choo heels and throws on a bow-adorned Chloe dress. That’s the exact approach Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan took Monday evening in California, where the Brooklyn darling received the honor (along with Brie Larson, who wasn’t in attendance) of the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

To make her presence known, the 21-year-old actress stepped forward with a deconstructed ponytail with loose, tangled waves. As for her angelic, all-white ensemble, it recalled the white, caped Saint Laurent gown she wowed in at the Golden Globes last month, where she received a nod for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama.

For the actress, 2016 has been nothing but a whirlwind. Up next? Ronan’s gearing up to once again drop jaws at the 2016 Oscars, where she's nominated in the Actress in a Leading Role category, along with Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Charlotte Rampling.
