Bring back Vice Principal Gupta!

We do not deserve Sandra Oh. As an actress, the woman has RANGE and it's highlighted by none other than one of her earlier roles: Vice Principal Gupta in The Princess Diaries.

Sure, the role was less serious than say, Eve Polastri in Killing Eve, and perhaps less complex than Cristina in Grey's Anatomy, but it was iconic, and only Oh could have done it justice. This week, the actress is following in the footsteps of co-star Anne Hathaway and recreating a moment from the film — and it is a good one.

On The Graham Norton Show, Oh was discussing her role in the movie when she said, "I haven't seen it since, but I remember it." She then proceeded to put her hand to her ear, mimicking a phone to recreate the memorable moment.

Now, I would be lying if I said that anytime I picked up a phone I didn't want to say, "Gupta, uh huh ... uh huh.." because it is ubiquitous with phone-answering for me. I think we all need to just take a moment to truly appreciate how one line was arguably the greatest moment of the film.

In other Princess Diaries news, last month, Anne Hathaway took the pillow challenge to a new level when she recreated the cover art from the film using a pillow and a belt.

Anyone else want to sign a petition to have Vice Principal Gupta as a main character in the potential third installment?
