Salma Hayek's Daughter Is So Good at Makeup, She Does It for Her Mother
Most celebrities have their go-to makeup artist on speed dial, but in Salma Hayek's case, that contact is often her 8-year-old daughter Valentina.
In an interview with E! News, the actress revealed that her daughter is so skilled, her assistant often asks the young girl to do her makeup before a night out, and from time to time, she'll do Hayek's as well. "She's done my makeup, and she's really, really good!" the star said. "I have the opportunity to work with great makeup artists, and she's watching them like a hawk. She's actually talented with it!"
So next time you see Hayek working a red carpet, keep in mind that her flawless makeup might have been her daughter's handiwork.
But it isn't just makeup—Valentina is so skilled in the art of the manicure, she has a pop-up salon set up in their house. "She loves nails; she's actually quite good. She's developed her own stand outside of her room where you can go get manicures, and she charges you for it," Hayek said. "It's permanently there, so anybody that comes to the house to visit or for a fitting, she asks 'Do you want a manicure?'"
Considering that Hayek's Nuance line was inspired by the skin and hair formulas her own grandmother used to make, it's pretty clear that both beauty and business savvy are in their DNA.
