Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome Welcomed Their First Child

Update 5/7/2020 at 2:45 P.M.: Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome have welcomed their first child together. E! News confirmed that the couple had a baby girl. A rep for the couple said, "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl," the couple's rep shared with E! News. "We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time."

Rupert Grint and actress Georgia Groome are expecting their first child together, Just Jared confirmed.

The Harry Potter actor and Groome, who once starred in Double Date, confirmed the news following speculation Groome was pregnant after they were photographed out in London.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time,” a rep for the couple told Just Jared.

Earlier this week, they were seen picking up supplies in London amid the coronavirus pandemic. They have reportedly been dating since 2011, and sparked marriage rumors last year when they were spotted wearing matching rings, but a spokesperson for Grint at the time denied they were married.

"Turning 30 felt strange. It just doesn’t feel like I’m there yet and I don’t know what the future holds," Grint told The Guardian in 2018. "I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters and see what happens. I’d like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."
