And while the musical turned film still remains a Halloween favorite, the movie’s original cast hasn't reunited in 25 years—until now. On the Today show Tuesday, Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry, Patricia Quinn, Barry Bostwick, and Meat Loaf came together for a memorable interview—as part of Entertainment Weekly's special reunions issue, out Friday—and revealed decades-long, tightly held secrets. After a quick mantra of the 1975 flick’s most memorable moments, stars like Curry and Sarandon described how the cast originally came together, and what it was like to be in front of the cameras. “I got pneumonia,” Sarandon says, adding that her sickness was caused by hours spent out in the cold for the role. Despite a few unfortunate mishaps, the cast ultimately agreed that the film’s hilarious yet empowering message of perseverance is what they’re most proud of.
