Rihanna Drops a New Single, "Work," and It Features Drake
Hold on tight because rippling waves are on the verge of sending the #RihannaNavy overboard. After a series of highly anticipated promotional videos and a selfie fit for a queen, Rihanna took to Twitter Wednesday morning to drop the first single from her upcoming eighth studio album, Anti. Dubbed “Work,” the breezy, soothing track finds the 27-year-old Barbadian crooner once more teaming up with Drake on what we expect to be another chart-topper.
The duo have previously slayed hits like the rapper’s “Take Care” and Rihanna own's “What’s My Name?” So what exactly is the new song about? Across the track’s chorus, Rihanna repeatedly tells us to “work, work, work, work, work,” while she sings of heartbreak and Drake chimes in with witty and charming one-liners.
While an official release date for Anti has yet to be announced, subscribers can listen to “Work” on tidal.com now—and prepare to let it creep into your head all day long.
