There's no denying that Rihanna has impeccable eyebrows — the arch, shape, and length are perfect for her face — but the singer goes to great measures to ensure her brows are exactly up to her standards.

In a new interview with ET, celebrity eyebrow artist Damone Roberts reveals that Rihanna has lookalike models test-drive different eyebrow styles before she takes the plunge herself.

For this year's Met Gala, RiRi wanted to lighten her signature eyebrows, but wasn't sure if she'd like the look. Her solution? Hire a "brow" double.

"We first met for the Met Gala and she wanted to lighten her eyebrows," explains Roberts. "Rihanna's so fly that she has a lookalike model come by your space and you try out different looks on the eyebrows of the model and you send pictures to Rihanna and she decides whether she wants to do it or not!"

Rihanna's Met Gala makeup look consisted of purple eyeshadow blended up to her brow bone, lots of body shimmer, and a glistening pink lip look. Of course Fenty's beloved foundation made the cut. Makeup artist Priscilla Ono applied the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in 370 ($34; to create a soft matte complexion. She topped off her hairstyle with a diamond-encrusted papal tiara.

He continued: "Literally a lookalike model we trialed and tried and everything else until we got them perfect."

Roberts and his team sent Rihanna pictures, and two days before the annual fashion event, the Barbadian beauty reportedly told the eyebrow expert: "I loved them! You gotta fly to NY and take care of me!" And the rest is history.

Employing a lookalike model to try out eyebrow trends for you may sound extreme, but when it comes to a major face-altering decision, it doesn't seem so over-the-top. And obviously, it paid off for Rihanna.

Roberts agrees: "Of course Rihanna shut down the show! It was really, really special."
