When the lights went out on NBC’s hit new drama Revolution, we couldn’t help but wonder: how do its characters primp without power? So, we turned to star Tracy Spiridakos (who plays Charlie) for the scoop on achieving her “no makeup” look and perfectly tousled locks on the show. Turns out, her secret is just a drugstore away. “We put on some foundation to take redness out [of my skin], and a little blush, eye shadow and mascara to enhance some of my features but still keep it natural looking,” Spiridakos told “Mainly nude shades and a lot of lip balm! Burt’s Bees is my favorite.” As for her wavy mane: “We usually let it air dry,” she said. “We use an anti frizz serum, twist it up and pin it till were good to go! That gives it a natural texture, without damaging my hair.” Tune in to Revolution tonight at 10/9c on NBC to see Spiridakos in action. And, you may want to add lip balm in your emergency kit while you’re at it!
