In the end, she voted for a belted A-line design by Oscar de la Renta in a bright red hue that played off the main color of the Republican party. Representatives from the label tell InStyle.com that the cardinal silk faille dress is from Oscar's pre-fall 2012 collection, and is available for $1,990 at the designer's stores (visit oscardelarenta.com/stores for a list of locations). As for her choice of designer, the American label is known for dressing First Ladies—de la Renta was famous for dressing Jackie Kennedy in the '60s.
