Now, it's exes Renée Zellweger and Bradley Cooper getting snapped together at the Academy Awards. This season, it seems like exes running into each other is the B-plot nobody saw coming. Cooper and Zellweger dated after filming 2009's Case 39 together. Don't remember that particular flick? It involved Zellweger playing a social worker, a kid named Lilith, and some supernatural themes that included deadly hallucinations and an asylum. Got it? Zellweger played the social worker and Cooper played a doctor that happened to maybe die because he thought that he was being attacked by swarm of hornets. That, or it was all a dream. It's one of those movies. The two were photographed as they were settling in for tonight's big show both smiling and in good spirits. With a nomination tonight for Best Actress, Zellweger has plenty to smile about. As for Cooper, handling an awards season without rumors about him and Lady Gaga has to be a relief. News notes that Cooper mentioned his then-girlfriend one time, saying, "I can't say enough about her. I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her." The couple broke up in 2011, when Cooper was filming Limitless. Since then, Cooper married Irina Shayk (they divorced last year) and until 2019, Zellweger was dating musician, songwriter, and producer Doyle Bramhall II.
