After showing off her stellar acting chops opposite Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine, the star received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and her eclectic sense of style has since made each event a colorful playground full of vintage gowns. Whether she is in lace, brocade, or rich embellishments from the '60s, Hawkins manages to give vintage a new lease on life. Usually Wears: Hawkins has the process of picking a vintage gown down to a science, favoring pieces that have a rich history behind them. Case in point: The embellished Dior ensemble she wore to the Golden Globes (right). "It's like a jewel and on loan from William Vintage in London, so it's quite special," she tells InStyle.com at the ceremony. "It goes back to the Dior museum after this outing, so that makes it quite valuable. I feel like I'm wearing a jewel." Favorite Designers: Vintage couture gowns, Valentino, Dior, Sophia Kah, Mulberry, and Emilia Wickstead. Wildcard Factor: While the red carpet can be an intimidating place -- especially during awards season -- she mirrors the fun, whimsical details on each of her sartorial picks with a stress-free attitude and a refreshing outlook. "I think as long as you just remember that it's all part of the fun, and you get to dress up for a night. And you do feel very lovely wearing these gorgeous clothes," says Hawkins. "As long as you don't stress about it and have fun and remember that it's all to do with the magic of the night and have a good time, I think, yeah, I love it. I mean, who wouldn't want it?" What We'd Like To See: We wouldn't mind seeing Hawkins pull off another regal vintage look for the Oscars red carpet. After all, she wears the style well, and certainly knows how to pick them!
