An easy alternative? The high bun Rachel McAdams wore at the Los Angeles premiere of To The Wonder. "I love a top knot and I am so happy this trend is sticking around," her hairstylist Mark Townsend said. "They are young, cool, and super-modern." To create the updo, Townsend began by spritzing Dove's Refresh + Care Dry Shampoo ($5; drugstore.com) onto dry hair, concentrating application at the roots. After working a dime-sized amount of Dove's Color Care Leave-On Conditioner ($6; drugstore.com) through the star's strands, he created a ponytail that sat just in front of the crown. He then twisted McAdams's hair around the base of the ponytail to form the bun, and anchored it with bobby pins. "I always make an X with two bobby pins when securing, and I always spray dry shampoo on them for extra security," Townsend added. To finish, he added a strip of black satin as a headband.
