This rare footage is just as good as the Queen's typical celebrations.

Queen Elizabeth's 94th birthday celebration may have been canceled, but the Royal Collection Trust has served up something fun in the event's place: some early footage of the royal playing with her sister, Princess Margaret, when they were children.

As the Queen spends her special day in quarantine at her home at Windsor Castle with husband Prince Philip, we get a rare glimpse into her younger days with this adorable throwback video posted on Tuesday (April 21).

Clips of Elizabeth have been compiled into a heartwarming video that shows the young royal then swinging on a swing with sister Princess Margaret, being pushed in a stroller, and even sitting on a horse as well as playing with the family's dogs. The jovial footage is sure to put a smile on your face, especially as it's not something we see very often.

"Happy Birthday, Your Majesty!" the caption accompanying the clip read. "Thank you for your messages today, on The Queen’s 94th birthday. In this private footage from the @royalcollectiontrust, we see The Queen (then Princess Elizabeth) playing with her family, including her younger sister Princess Margaret." Princess Margaret unfortunately passed away in 2002.

"Head of the Commonwealth, Head of the Armed Forces, Head of State in 16 countries and the longest reigning Monarch in British History. Wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Happy birthday, Your Majesty! To those of you also celebrating your birthdays today at home, with or without your loved ones - we send you many happy returns."

Prince William and Kate Middleton took some time out on this very special day to send birthday wishes to the Queen on their own Kensington Royal Instagram page.

"Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 94th birthday today!"

Finally, Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, shared heartfelt birthday wishes for the Queen as well, with a shot of Charles as a child and his mother looking over him.

"Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very Happy 94th Birthday," Clarence House shared on Instagram.

The Queen may have skipped her typical birthday festivities this year, but it certainly looks like she's still receiving plenty of love on this very important day.
