Revlon and Marchesa's Latest Collaboration Looks Fabulous and Benefits a Great Cause!
Marchesa and Revlon are rolling out the red carpet for their latest collaboration! For the label's third capsule collection with the beauty giant, designers Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman looked to Marchesa's greatest sartorial hits to create a lineup of winning hues of lipstick, nail polish, and more, sure to leave you ready for your close-up. "We were inspired by the bespoke elements found in our collections, and translated them to the packaging through beautiful hues and intricate designs," says Craig, the label's co-founder and textile director. "We wanted this collection to be representative of some of our most iconic red carpet moments."
Well, mission accomplished! We think the vivid orange lipstick, liquid liner, and iridescent lacquer from the Daring look (pictured, left) would be a perfect complement to Marchesa's risky, avant-garde numbers, while their more classic pieces would be flattered by the deep wine tones from the Opulent range (center) or the subtle pinks in the Romantic lineup (right).
As if making the red carpet treatment more accessible wasn't generous enough, Marchesa and Revlon are taking it one step further by lending a hand to women around the globe. To celebrate the launch of the collection, Revlon will donate $15,000 to support Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. "It was very important to us, on a personal level, that this collection have an added philanthropic element," says designer and co-founder Chapman. "Revlon's dedication to charity was a driving force behind our decision to work with the company, as Keren and I both value and incorporate philanthropy into our work as much as we can." Half the Sky is an initiative dedicated to ending oppression of women and girls worldwide, while empowering and raising awareness toward women's issues.
