In a month full of tension and fire, let's return to the comparative tranquility of October with one of our favorite moments of the month: Princess Eugenie's wedding. The royal made a beautiful blushing bride, and her fashion choices sent a specific message since they were tailor-made to highlight scars on her back from scoliosis surgery.

On Thursday, it became clear that displaying her back was the name of the game for the reception dress, too. Eugenie's embroidered Zac Posen gown was only pictured from the front until the designer took to Instagram this week, and sure enough, the dress tastefully dips in the back.

"The back by popular demand, before the final #whiteroseofyork embroidery was placed," Posen wrote.

The peach-colored dress also features a long draped train. In case you need a refresher, this is what the showstopping outfit looked like from the front:

It was important to Princess Eugenie that her scars — which she got after having surgery at age 12 — were on display.

"I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you'll see on Friday [at the wedding], but it's a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this," she told ITV's This Morning beforehand. "I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it's really special to stand up for that."

Special indeed!
