This may not always be the case, but as a general rule of thumb, if you walk around wearing a hat like this:

... you are probably a very wealthy British royal. Such is the case with Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson.

While Eugenie is not a "working royal" — meaning she doesn't carry out royal duties on official visits like Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle, and doesn't get taxpayer or citizen-funded security money — she still does have a nice nest egg of her own. And she's quite well off without that working royal paycheck, thank you very much.

Part of her earnings do come from her family by way of trusts, but Eugenie also has a solid career as the associate director of a gallery in London called Hauser & Wirth — a contemporary art world fixture with popular outposts in Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong as well. With all that in mind, Town & Country pinpoints her total net worth at approximately $4.8 million.

Funnily enough, as the outlet writes, this is almost the exact same amount that Meghan Markle was worth before her royal wedding to Prince Harry.

With Eugenie's own wedding to Jack Brooksbank on the horizon, perhaps her net worth will increase afterwards, too.
