Princess Di's Designer Says Meghan Markle "Can't Be the Sex Bomb on Her Wedding Day"

How does one dress a soon-to-be princess for one of the most momentous and heavily photographed occasions of her life?

With butterflies in your stomach, probably. Dressing a royal for a big occasion like a wedding is not something many designers get to experience. David Emanuel, however, is one of them.

The Welsh fashion designer created Princess Diana's wedding dress alongside his former wife Elizabeth Emanuel. Ahead of Diana's son Prince Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle on May 19, he spoke about how he'd dress Meghan in an exclusive clip from the Fox special Meghan Markle: An American Princess, which airs May 11.

“What would I put Meghan in? Something sleek and clean, quite bodied with a long train, and I’d put her in a clinging silk crepe," he said. "But, you know, she can’t be the sex bomb on her wedding day. She can look smoldering and wonderful, but it’s got to be regal.”
