When Pretty Little Liars returns for its seventh season, the show isn’t just going to deliver what it claims to be its “most romantic season yet,” but creator Marlene King has another tagline for the year: the season of homecomings.
“There’s a lot of great people coming back,” King tells EW of returning characters. “We’re calling it our season of homecomings, and there are a lot of old faces that are going to feel like new faces when we see them again this year.”
That comment, of course, refers to the time jump. And one familiar face that fans can expect—aside from Jenna (Tammin Sursok), who will be back— is Brant Daugherty’s Noel Kahn, which was revealed in a table read photo that King tweeted.

But in addition to some old faces, there are also new characters coming to Rosewood. It was recently revealed that Nicholas Gonzalez has joined the cast as the hot new detective in town, and even he thinks fans will be excited by the returning characters. Speaking to his experience at the table reads, Gonzalez tells EW, “I’ve seen a big gasp go through the room as they announce people that maybe people know really well and might be back. There’s so many surprises in store.”
Pretty Little Liars returns Tuesday, June 21 at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
