News 9 Months Pregnant Hilary Duff Accuses Paparazzo of Stalking Her By Alexandra Whittaker Updated on September 24, 2018 @ 09:45AM Pin Share Tweet Email Today in "things that make us realize being a celebrity sucks sometimes," Hilary Duff has a paparazzi horror story. The actress, who is nine months pregnant with her second child, was tailed for an entire day by a paparazzo, and now she's speaking out. She posted a video of the encounter after the man — whom she did not know — followed her to multiple locations, despite her repeated pleas to be left alone. "This guy has been at my sons soccer game this morning then followed me to my sisters house and was basically parked in her drive way to get photos," she wrote on Instagram, adding that he also followed her on errand runs. "I politely asked him to let me be and he continues to follow and stalk me down like pray [sic] for hours now. This is not ok." "I am 9 months pregnant. When people say that’s what you get for signing up to be a celebrity it honestly makes me sick. This is every day of every month and it’s simply not ok. If a non 'celeb'(I’m sorry to use that word) was dealing with this the law would be involved." Being harassed like this is never appropriate, and being a celebrity doesn't make it so. Some commenters on Duff's post argued that she should have security to prevent this in the future, but this places the responsibility on her for a situation she didn't create, and 24/7 security just isn't realistic — especially when she's just out living her life. Vanity Fair has reported before that the price tag associated with constant security for a celebrity is well into the millions, so believe it or not, for most stars, spending money on this all the time isn't feasible or financially responsible. Paul Archuleta In Duff's case, even after trailing her for hours, the photographer had the nerve to say she ruined his day because he didn't get a photo (and let's be honest here, what was he doing following her all day if he hadn't taken a photo at that point ... ?) "Entitled" doesn't even begin to cut it. This is a PSA — please don't trail celebrities in public all day. Not cool.
