There's a reason Lane Bryant has found tremendous success in its designer collections—it's broken down full-figured fashion barriers, proving that style and plus-size silhouettes can indeed go hand-in-hand. It's why the retailer has seen sold-out hits from previous collaborations with Christian Siriano, Lela Rose, Sophie Theallet, and Isabel Toledo. And now, Lane Bryant is gearing up for another major fashion win on its hands—with Prabal Gurung named as its fifth designer partner.

"Prabal is a master at mixing materials, fabrics and textures—he pulls it off in such a way that each piece becomes its own artistic statement. His ingenuity at mixing sporty ease with unabashed glamour has made his label a huge success," says Linda Heasley, CEO of Lane Bryant, in a statement. "We are delighted to welcome him to Lane Bryant and offer his innovative fashions, spirit and unique styles to the Lane Bryant customer."

Sketches or sneak peeks of the "Prabal Gurung Exclusively for Lane Bryant" collection (it's set to launch March 2017) have yet to be unveiled, but from what we know about Gurung's ready-to-wear collection and design aesthetic, there's no doubt he'll bring his attention to detail and his superior craftsmanship to the line—all of which are designed to celebrate the female form (he's a red carpet favorite among the A-list set, after all).

"Designing clothes for the modern woman, one who is fashionable and unafraid of how she feels about herself, has always been my source for inspiration," Gurung says in a statement. "I truly believe that confidence is the key and I continually strive to create clothing that allows women to look and feel their absolute best. I am thrilled to be working with Lane Bryant on this collaboration and look forward to dressing this bold and fashionable customer."

We're still nearly a year out, but we can't wait to see what Gurung has up his sleeves!
