Moschino and Powerpuff Girls Debut an Adorable Line of Superhero Merch
With Jeremy Scott at the helm, Moschino has not only become one of the most anticipated shows of Milan Fashion Week, but also a beacon of pop culture-centric fashion. After three successful collections that went on to spark viral-level obsession (remember Barbie and SpongeBob Squarepants?), arrives a fourth line—but not without another riff on an icon. Or, in this case, a trio of icons—the Powerpuff Girls.
The brand has partnered up with the Cartoon Network to unveil a line of Moschino merch for spring/summer 2016, featuring the beloved '90s superhero squad—Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom. And we couldn't help but notice the excellent timing of it all; next season's offering will coincide with the Powerpuff Girl's return to television (the remake is set to air sometime in 2016). Even though only a blue one-piece swimsuit displaying the girls emblazoned with "POW!" and a Buttercup-headed, cross-body bag debuted on the Moschino catwalk, the full The Powerpuff Girls x Jeremy Scott collection will include knitted tops, skirts and dresses, swimwear, and accessories.
Moschino's Powerpuff Girls pieces aren't available yet, but others from his spring 2016 collection are up for grabs at moschino.com.
