Kate Middleton’s younger sister sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today show and dished on her life post-royal wedding, now infamous Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress, and more. "You know," she told Lauer of the gown, "I think the plan was not really for it to be a significant dress. Really just to sort of blend in with the [wedding dress] train." As for the location of the dress now, its safely tucked away. "It’s actually still in my wardrobe at home," Pippa said in the interview. "I haven't worn it since. But I think I'll just keep it there ... I think it's the sort of thing that I'm sure I'll bring out if someone wanted to see it or my children one day want to see it. Then I'll show them." As for Kate and Prince William's ceremony itself, Pippa revealed she only realized the magnitude of the event later on. "We saw it as just a family wedding," Middleton told Lauer. "It was surreal … Actually, I didn't realize, perhaps, the scale of it until afterwards." In the interview, Middleton also discussed her latest fashion statement—a cycling uniform. The star recently participated in Race Across America, a team bike ride across the United States that raised money for charity. "It was a fantastic experience," she said. "It was probably the longest week of my life." The pair also discussed the ups and downs of Middleton's newfound fame. "I've had amazing opportunities," she told Lauer. "I feel really very fortunate … I've had access to things that I wouldn't necessarily." However, she did note that the attention isn't always positive. "It's been difficult. think people feel like they can say something about you online or on a webpage when they would never say it to your face. They think that's okay," she shared about the media's scrutiny of her life. As for what's next in her life, Middleton didn't reveal too much. "There's so much I'd love to achieve."
