How did the Pamella, pamella roland collection come to be?"I wanted to design a collection of cocktail and evening dresses that reached a new audience, offering the same beautiful fabrics, details and styles of the Pamella Roland collection at a more attainable price. The result was Pamella, pamella roland a collection of cocktail and evening dresses aimed toward a younger woman with a 'youthful' point of view."

What was the inspiration behind the collection?"My daughters Cassandra and Sydney were my main inspiration. As a designer and a mother, I strive to dress both mothers and daughters."

How is the collection different from your Pamella Roland line?"The quality and detail in the designs are very similar, however the Pamella collection offers a new contemporary look. Fabric is my passion and even though these fabrics are less expensive, they are still beautiful and have a rich look."

What makes the Pamella, pamella roland collection stand apart from other brands?"While youthful, this collection is sophisticated and attainable. These pieces can be worn for years to come and will not lose their appeal because they are well made and have a classic elegance. We cut and produce everything in New York, which is rare and helps us stand apart."

Who is the "Pamella, pamella roland" woman? Who does your collection target?"I design for a modern woman who is confident in herself and has a classic and sophisticated look. She has fun trying new trends every once in a while, but dresses for herself and has a strong sense of individual style."

Do you have a favorite piece? Why?"My favorite piece for Spring is the rose printed halter dress with patent leather trim (pictured above, center). It is very feminine and flattering to the figure. Since the print makes a statement I would recommend beautiful earrings and a great evening shoe. Nothing too complicated that competes with the dress itself."

Is there anything unique about the prints, styles, silhouettes?"All of the prints and fabrics are exclusive to us and some of the styles are best sellers from our archive. We do add new styles every season to keep the collection fresh and up to date."
