News Awards & Events Oscars Oscars 2013: How To Get Anne Hathaway's Perfectly Tousled Pixie By Selene Milano Published on February 24, 2013 Pin Share Tweet Email Photo: John Shearer/Invision/AP; Courtesy All eyes are on nominee Anne Hathaway tonight. We've been following her dreamy red carpet looks this award season and of course, that perfect pixie. Her hairstylist Adir Abergel told us his inspiration behind tonight's more voluminous version was 1950s elegance. "I wanted to keep it simple, classic and for it to have timeless glamour," he told InStyle.com. He also wanted a bit more texture tonight so he used Frederic Fekkai Coif Bouffant ($25 at nordstrom.com)—sweeping the product root to end, emphasizing the front—which he says is critical for short hairstyles. "This gave it enough hold to last all night," he said. Then he brushed her strands through with a Denman brush ($13 at amazon.com) and finished off with Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax ($25 at fekkai.com). "I messed it up a little," he said. Abergel had another short-haired fashion icon in mind when he created the style: Princess Diana! Plus, see what all the stars are wearing tonight!MORE:• Oscars: InStyle’s Behind-the-Scenes Instagram• Designers Pick Oscars Gowns• Who’s Bradley Cooper’s Oscars Date? Was this page helpful?
