It's hard to believe 15 years have passed since Orlando Bloom rocketed to fame and achieved international heartthrob status via his big screen portrayal of the blue-eyed, flaxen-haired, completely crush-worthy Legolas.

Turns out, we're not the only ones getting nostalgic. The studly actor took to Instagram on Monday to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the debut of the first Lord of the Rings film, The Fellowship of the Ring, with a series of hot Legolas snaps that are reminding us why we fell so hard for the Brit in the first place.

"15 years ago today, #TheLordOfTheRings: The Fellowship of the Ring hit theaters. And the rest, as you know, is history," the 39-year-old wrote alongside an epic collage of him getting into character as the elf prince with blue contacts and a blonde wig. "Check the link in my bio for more photos!"

As if that wasn't enough, the English actor also teased a set photo of himself as he spent time with fellow heartthrob Viggo Mortensen, who played Aragorn in the blockbuster fantasy series.
