Orlando Bloom Breaks His Silence on Fiancée Katy Perry's Pregnancy

The couple is expecting their first child together this summer.

Ever since announcing she's pregnant via her "Never Worn White" music video, Katy Perry has been extremely vocal about expecting her first child. However, her other half, Orlando Bloom, has kept relatively quiet on the subject — until now.

On Saturday, the actor broke his silence on his fiancée's pregnancy with the sweetest tribute on Instagram. Sharing his excitement over the news, he captioned a gorgeous photo of Katy and her growing belly: "My babies blooming."

Given the corny play on words of his last name in the caption, it appears as if Bloom is already brushing up on his dad jokes. Although, to be fair, the couple also made a similar reference in their engagement post from last year. "Full bloom," Perry wrote alongside a photo of herself, Bloom, and her flower-shaped ring.

This will be Orlando's second time becoming a dad — as he shares a son, 9-year-old Flynn, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr — but, nonetheless, he's overjoyed by the pregnancy. “They are of course thrilled about the baby,” a source told People earlier this week. “They wanted to keep it quiet for as long as possible so Katy can just enjoy her pregnancy in peace. But everything is going well and she has several upcoming events so she thought it was the perfect timing to share.”

Meanwhile, Katy confirmed during an interview with SirusXM's Mikey Piff that the baby was planned. "Well, it wasn't on accident. I'm so grateful for everything that I have been able to do and achieve and all the goals that I've been kind of able to check off my list and dreams and the life I've lived thus far, and I think I've just been trying to create this space in my own life where I'm not running myself too ragged and like, you know, creating space for something new to happen like this," she said, adding that she and Orlando are "looking forward to this new interval of life."

Congrats again to the happy couple!
