Expectant Olivia Wilde Enjoys a “Date Night” with Gloria Steinem—and a Conversation on Feminism
Even Olivia Wilde gets totally starstruck. The expectant actress teamed up with political activist Gloria Steinem for a conversation with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation on Thursday night, and Wilde was clearly enthralled with the famous feminist—and even referred to the event as “date night,” on Instagram.
The stars aligned in N.Y.C. for a screening of Woman, an Emmy-nominated documentary series hosted by Steinem that investigates violence against women and the effects it has globally. After the episode aired, Wilde moderated a Q&A with the 82-year-old journalist and the duo appeared to thoroughly enjoy their time together on the stage.
“Thank you @sagaftrafound for giving me the chance to chat with Gloria about female revolutionaries, Paganism, and the terrifying mental picture of Donald Trump giving birth,” she wrote on Instagram.
“What an honor to share the stage with this rockstar tonight. “We are not ranked, we are linked,” she added on Twitter.
For the inspirational event, the pregnant star swathed her baby bump in a white button-up top and donned a black leather moto jacket and paired the look with black skinnies and brown leather sandals.
This is a powerful pairing we can totally get behind.
