This is shaping up to be a very interesting bunch. We were already excited by the prospect of an all-female version of Ocean's Eleven, and this new casting news has us practically jumping out of our seats.

It was revealed today that Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Nora Lum are set to star in the upcoming film Ocean's Eight, the female-driven caper spinoff of mega-hits Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen. The five actresses will join Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock, who were previously linked with the project. The final spot in the cast has yet to be decided.

And as for the team behind the scenes, that's panning out to be amazing as well. The flick will be directed by Gary Ross and produced by Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh—Ross also co-wrote the script alongside Olivia Milch. The movie will begin filming in New York City this fall, and the release date has not been announced.

One thing's certain: This is definitely one star-studded group.
