Fourteen years after they said bye, bye, bye, to their beloved boyband, Chasez, Timberlake, and the rest of the group's original heartbreakers—Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass— came together under one decidedly hot roof.
"JC's 40th... And, if you don't know now you know..." Timberlake, 35, captioned the group photo of the guys crowded around Chasez, whose birthday was on Monday. And while they've all got just a few more gray hairs than they did back in their heyday, they still look pretty darn good.
And although this unexpected reunion has our hearts fluttering with the prospect of the band getting back together in the future, it seems pretty clear that this social gathering had no strings attached, at least professionally.
In 2013 the guys came together for a 90-second reunion during Timberlake's MTV VMA Video Vanguard Performance, sparking rumors that they were getting back together. In an interview with The Huffington Post in 2014, Fatone asserted that the chances of that happening are slim. "It was fun, it was interesting, but I don't know if it's ever going to happen again," he said. "I don't know whether or not something will ever happen again, but again, you always say 'never say never' because that happened. That was never gonna happen, and all of a sudden it did happen."
Fatone turns 40 in January—we can only hope that the former boy banders re-reunite for another celebration.
