North West's 5th Birthday Adventures in New York City Did Not Come Cheap
North West knows how to celebrate a birthday. Earlier this month, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had a joint unicorn party with her cousin Penelope Disick, and the costly celebrations haven't stopped yet.
The newly-minted five year old brought the party to New York City, and she's been living it up with her parents Kardashian and West, who are in town to celebrate Nas's new record.
Yesterday, she kicked off her birthday a day early by heading to CoolMess ice cream shop in Manhattan's Midtown East neighborhood with her mom Kim, Jonathan Cheban, and her best friend Ryan Romulus. It's not a regular ice cream parlor, though. They allow you to make your own ice cream. All you have to do is choose a base flavor and toppings and they mix it in right then and there. It's not a cheap cone though. The experience starts at $29.99 for three people with an additional $10 being added for anyone else.
“We are making our own ice cream today since we’re in New York for North’s birthday. We’re making chocolate and vanilla,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said in a video shared on Instagram Story. “This is insane!”
As they arrived at the shop, North was caught "serving looks." Kim shared some of the photos of her eldest daughter taken from their outing, and she's right. North knows how to work her angles. She looked pretty darn adorable, too, in a matching pink Adidas track suit with the brand's signature stripes in bright yellow. She accessorized the looks with Yeezy sneakers and a beaded choker.
The sweet celebrations didn't end there. They finished up their day by making a trip to Dylan's Candy Bar. We can only assume how much candy the secured, but we have a feeling that North got a good haul.
Today on her actual birthday, her parents treated her to even more fun. They took her to eat at one of N.Y.C.'s fanciest restaurants, Cipriani, for a casual lunch. While she probably ate off their unofficial kids menu, a simple sandwich can run upwards of $28. For a family meal out, we'd estimate they dropped at least $300 on lunch for their five-year-old.
After lunch, Kanye got North a pink fighting fish from a local pet store, which rings in around $18 for the fish. We also bet he got her new pet an aquarium for around $20.
Later in the day, Kim, Jonathan, North, and Ryan headed to Sugar Factory for even more sweet treats. They ordered up a storm, sampling all of the shop's cool offerings. From Kim's Instagram Stories it looks like they got a lot of different varieties, selecting five in total for the group. Each goblet is $32, so we suspect she dropped around $180 or so for all their treats.
Needless to say, North had quite the birthday. While we're just estimating here, it looks like the Wests spent close to $1,000 on their little girl. You only turn five once, right?
