"Nontouring" Is the Latest Makeup Trend You Probably Already Do
When you've started to experience contouring fatigue (who hasn't, right?), the next obvious move would be to try your hand at "nontouring," which has recieved a fair amount of buzz on Instagram, and is strangely similar to the strobing technique we already knew. Coined by celebrity makeup artist Renee Sanganoo, the pro has dubbed the method as "Spanx for your face" thanks to the instant lifting and glowing effect it creates, a la Gigi Hadid. "You know you're wearing it, but no one's supposed to see it," she explains. "In the summer, people are outside more and they tend to wear lighter foundation. It just looks more natural."

The method involves a trio of products you probably already have, and probably already use in this exact order. Begin with a layer of your favorite primer, then apply tinted moisturizer over the top. Concealer is optional, though we typically use it under our eyes and down the center of our noses to even everything out. Finally, pick up your favorite highlighter and blend the product over areas where the light would naturally hit, like the cheekbones, down the nose, cupid's bow, and the arches of your brows. If you're already practicing "nontouring"—whether or not you knew it—consider yourself officially ahead of the movement, you trendsetter, you.
