When we got word that House of Harlow 1960 was launching its first full ready-to-wear collection, we had to get the details straight from the brand's talented Creative Director, Nicole Richie. From wide-leg, slouchy pants to cropped, knit pullovers, the line exudes the California-cool vibe we love to see from the label (and just in time for festival season!). With Richie at the helm, we wouldn't expect anything less than boho with a stylish edge. "I’m always working toward vintage-inspired elements and a free-spirited appeal. It’s about being comfortable but still very chic," Richie tells InStyle.com exclusively.

Other favorite items from her line Richie won't leave the house without? "House of Harlow rings. Depending on my mood I’ll either go for a few smaller, delicate rings or one standout piece," she says. "I usually work my jewelry around my outfits unless it’s a strong, statement piece; then I let the jewelry be the focal point." After such success with the brand's accessories collections, clothing was a natural next step. From statement pieces to wardrobe staples, the clothing line has items that are suited to anyone's style and allow you to inject your own flair. "Style is so individual," says Richie. "I believe everyone should dress for themselves and create their own rules."
