Nick Jonas Gets Flustered Meeting Game of Thrones's Emilia Clarke

Nick Jonas is basically all of us meeting our ultimate celebrity crush. There's the rambling, the fan-girling, and then the awkward admittance of stalking said star on social media.

For Jonas, that person is Emilia Clarke, who plays silver-haired mother of dragons Daenerys Targaryen on HBO's Game of Thrones. The Me Before You actress was scheduled to appear on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show Thursday, and host Nick Grimshaw surprised her by inviting Game of Thrones superfan Jonas into the room.

Grimshaw introduced Jonas: "He loves the show and he was really annoyed that he missed the show when Kit Harington was on. The only reason he's going to come into Radio 1 is to see Emilia Clarke."

A flustered Jonas fired back at Grimshaw, saying, "You really set me up for failure to not look cool at all: 'One of your biggest fans is in the building!'"

The "Close" singer then revealed that this isn't his first time meeting the 29-year-old actress and, yes, he embarrassed himself the other time too.

"I've actually already met Emilia ... at the Oscars after-party. ... I was like, 'I'm also a fan of your Instagram.' Which I don't know if it's a weird thing to say," the 23-year-old said.

Clarke said that she was flattered, but Jonas said "I immediately walked away and was like, 'That sounded stupid.'"
