This Gymnast's Viral Beyoncé Floor Routine Is Taking Over the Internet
21-year-old Nia Dennis, may be new to this whole viral fame thing, but she’s no stranger to slaying on the floor with inventive and personality-filled routines.
The UCLA gymnast first drew attention in 2018 when she began spelling her name in the air on the floor (a Beyoncé-level confidence move if there ever was one). Dennis reached a new level of recognition this week, however, when a routine she performed to a Queen Bey mashup (on her 21st birthday, no less) caught the attention of, well, everyone?
I mean, a ponytail flip, finger crown, unbelievable tumbling, and Beyoncé? What doesn't this routine have??
The Ohio native, who earned a 9.975 for her skillful performance, tweeted a response to the outpour of praise on Friday, writing, “I am overwhelmed with happiness and joy, thank you everyone for such positive messages, it means the world to me to have your support. this is so surreal i can’t even believe it! much love always.”
Oh, and did we mention, girl’s got gifs?
Dennis, a sociology major, is expected to graduate from UCLA in 2021.
