Natasha Bedingfield Welcomed a Baby Boy on New Year's Eve

Natasha Bedingfield is beginning 2018 with a different sort of "Pocketful of Sunshine."

The singer and her husband Matthew Robinson celebrated the new year by welcoming a baby boy and becoming parents. To let her fans know about the good news, Bedingfield took to Instagram on New Year's Eve to share a sweet shot of her in a hospital bed holding a Starbucks cup with "mum" written on it.

The first-time parents have been married since 2009 and announced that they were expecting back in October. In November, they revealed they were expecting a boy through a new song, "Hey Boy."

"Becoming a mum is something I’ve always dreamed of but for a long time I felt it was way off in the distance,” she told The Sun at the time. “Now the bump is starting to really show, it’s sinking in that this is really happening. ... I’m so excited to embrace this huge life-change. And Matt is super supportive.”

Bedingfield rose to fame following the release of her debut album Unwritten in 2004; the LP’s title track and single “These Words” became Top 40hits, as did 2008 follow-ups “Pocketful of Sunshine” and “Love Like This.” Robinson is a businessman.

Congratulations to the new family of three!
