This Was Natalie Dormer's Reaction to Being Killed Off on Game of Thrones
Spoiler alert! Natalie Dormer quickly lost a steady job when her Game of Thrones character Margaery Tyrell was killed off in a massive blast at the end of last season but, according to the actress, she’d been expecting the call for a while.
“I think it’s an occupational hazard—being a Game of Thrones member of cast. You kind of are always half anticipating that phone call,” Dormer told Mashable. Luckily, her death was on the low side of the gruesome scale, as far as GoT deaths go.

“She went out with a bang, didn’t she? She went out with a bang, and you’ve got to give credit to Dan and David, the creators of the show. They just keep coming up with new ways of killing people,” she joked. “I think wildfire was a pretty imaginative, you know. … It would have been over quickly. I wouldn’t want Margaery suffering any pain.”
After years as a series regular, Dormer is moving on to a new project: She’s signed on to the video game Mass Effect: Andromeda. The Hunger Games alum will voice a doctor in the futuristic universe.
One thing’s for sure: This actress loves to transport us to another world.
