Gigi Hadid may be an international supermodel, but she didn’t get there on her own: The gorgeous star had some help from her friends and idols along the way. In the new issue of Love Magazine, Hadid revealed that the iconic Naomi Campbell taught her how to own her unique runway walk.

“She said, ‘Don’t apologize, don’t do it. You are perfect the way you are. Everyone said my walk was weird too,’” Hadid remembers. But the advice didn’t stop there: Campbell had the model pretending a hotel hallway was a catwalk.

“I go to her hotel and we end up practicing walking in the hallway of the hotel. Italian families are coming out to watch and she’s like, ‘Don’t look at them, keep walking, they’re your audience,’” she said.
