My Power Outfit: Dria Murphy, Style and Communications Director at Keep
Name: Dria Murphy, @DriaMurphy
Job/Company: Style and Communications Director at Keep
Brief description of what you do in your role:As the style and communications director, I'm in and out of the office a lot, meeting with and entertaining influencers in the fashion, beauty, and home décor world. I develop fresh ideas and actively pitch them to the press, spreading the word and raising awareness about the utility of Keep.
In addition to public relations responsibilities I curate Keep's "style channels" on the homepage and in the app. Keep already has a gorgeous selection of products, so I just help curate in a visually appealing way. It’s exciting to take on more of a styling responsibility at a fast growing e-commerce platform. I work on choosing which products go where to ensure our site is stylish in addition to visually appealing.
Why does it make you feel powerful?I think feeling powerful comes from feeling confident and part of my confidence comes from style. When you feel good about what you have on, it can bring a more powerful attitude out.
If you could tell others to invest in one timeless piece, what would it be and why?A statement luxury bag. It immediately adds sophistication and luxury to your look. You want to invest in a bag that can withstand the trends to come as well as look great in the coming years. It’s also important that you love it as much as the price tag, since you’ll be carrying it for years to come. I think a structured handbag withstands daily wear best. I would avoid any big logos and keep the hardware to a minimum. I recently invested in a Fendi 3Jours leather shopper in poppy and couldn't be happier.
